HCLT admire top-quality build standards and stylish designs at a site that continues to put safety first.
The site team at community-led developer Palace Green Homes welcomed Haddenham Community Land Trust (HCLT) Trustees to the West End development in early August 2020. Despite the challenges of CV-19, build progress at the 54-home project in Haddenham village has maintained momentum with genuinely affordable homes centred at its heart.
Both Palace Green Homes and the HCLT have worked hard to ensure the West End Gardens site continues to be a safe and pleasant place for workers and suppliers. Revised safety measures were implemented on-site for all trades at the beginning of the CV-19 outbreak with specialist PPE equipment mandatory and HSE guidelines in place. As aerial shots show in images here, progress has been impressive with the Palace Green Homes construction team extremely quick to adapt to a new mode of safe working in order to keep staff, sub-contractors and suppliers safe.
People living and/or working in Haddenham or Aldreth will be invited to apply for the beautifully designed properties, which will help to address housing supply in the parish whilst generating income via rental stream for re-investment into other community projects. After admiring the style, design and build quality of the properties, HCLT Trustees met other members of the Palace Green Homes’ team. The first residents at West End are likely to move in in a few months time with the project owned entirely by the HCLT in perpetuity.
