Palace Green Homes was established by East Cambridgeshire District Council in 2016 to help address the shortage of new housing across the district. Today we deliver beautifully and innovatively designed sustainable homes to the East Cambridgeshire region – but Palace Green Homes do more than just build houses for a profit. We involve local people in the design of local developments and bring real social and economic benefits to local communities. Through ‘community-led’ development we give residents the chance to shape their neighbourhoods. Profits from our high-quality homes of all tenures are then reinvested back into the Council, helping to fund new infrastructure projects and support local services that benefit residents and businesses throughout East Cambridgeshire.
Since Palace Green Homes began, we have provided £1.5 million in benefits to East Cambridgeshire District Council from our property activities. We are on track to reach our target of £2.5 million by March 2026. We also continue our strive to develop futuristic homes using renewable technologies to achieve our net-zero targets by 2030.
