West End Gardens
At West End Gardens, the fascinating storied past of Haddenham and its modern present fuse, consisting of 54 new homes nestled amongst a carefully plotted green landscape. The landmark development redefines village life, with a mix of house types and styles attentively chosen to complement Haddenham and the surrounding countryside. This location brings together the grace of the countryside with contemporary, eco-friendly houses and bungalows. The project was developed in partnership with Haddenham Community Land Trust (CLT), delivering 19 community-owned, affordable homes.
With its previous use as an open arable field, West End Gardens features community space and is a haven for biodiversity. Properties boast larger than-average gardens on this ample 2.5-acre site, enhancing the variety of plant and animal life. The village of Haddenham, and the wider area, is blessed with dozens of leafy footpaths, quiet country lanes and wildlife-rich dog-walking trails hemmed by open pasture, fields of rustling crops and spinneys. Historic Ely, with its magnificent cathedral and architecture, is a ten-minute drive away and provides important connections with London, the Midlands, northern England and Scotland.
Ultramodern technology used in each home makes West End Gardens a highly sustainable development. Breath-taking countryside surroundings combined with modern conveniences make West End Gardens an optimal place to call home.
One of our new residents at West End Gardens said: “When I visited the West End Gardens development, I really liked the attractive design of the homes and found the energy efficient initiatives particularly appealing. Living in Haddenham has been lovely so far. Owning my first home feels exciting and quite surreal.”
Despite the challenges of CV-19, build progress has maintained an impressive momentum. Over half of the properties at West End Gardens have been sold this year. Construction on the site is expected to be completed early 2023.
